“Like This Page And Win A FREE iPhone and iPad” has taken over Facebook in the past few weeks.
What people are doing is they are setting up a Facebook page called Apple, iPhone or the product they claim to be giving away if you like their page.
These people are giving away nothing, they get young kids’ hopes up by saying that they will win an iPhone, iPad, PS3 or XBOX.
This has to stop. If you see anybody share anything like this tell them to delete the post from their timeline and to REPORT the page.
The only way this is going to stop is if we all report these pages and then when a significant amount of people report the page Facebook will hopefully remove the page.
Facebook is for chatting with friends, sharing photos, videos and stories but not, and I repeat not, for people to post false statements or to make fake pages of big companies.
One of the bad things I have seen from this was when a page Apple inc. was made and people didn’t get their prizes people started to ring Apple and telling them they want their free iDevice.
This has to stop.
