YourGadgetGuide believes that social media and social networking is great…if used wisely.
However so many people use it without too much thought and then they have to suffer the consequences.
Here in the UK people have ended up being arrested and even jailed over things they have posted to Facebook or Twitter.
The latest person to fall victim of a rather unwise use of social media is flight attendant Tatiana Kozlenko who worked for Russian airline Aeroflot.
When she posted the picture below on her personal page at a popular Russian social networking site it quickly ended up on Twitter and soon went viral.
However when her bosses found out they were not too amused and she was promptly sacked.
Tatiana argued that the person in the picture who was shown giving the bird to a plane full of passengers was not her. She even said that it was not an Aeroflot aircraft but she still lost her job.
Aeroflot said: “Posting this photo shows Tatiana’s attitude towards passengers and her duties. She acknowledged her fault when she spoke to her managers.”
Once again social media is a good thing but use it wrongly and you may live to regret it.
