It would appear that yesterday’s hack attack on the Burger King Twitter account did the fast food giant no lasting damage.
In fact it seems to have raised its profile somewhat as its Twitter followers have shot up overnight from 89,000 to more than 111,000.
Tweeting “we’re back” the chain was quick to welcome its new faces and said: “Interesting day here at BURGER KING, but we’re back! Welcome to our new followers. Hope you all stick around!”
It seems that its followers have welcomed the news too – when YourGadgetGuide checked the site the “we’re back” tweet had been retweeted 2,359 times and favorited 894 times.
